Art Project: Jewels for a Walk
Veronica Morales Angulo is a professional jewellery and architecture photographer who works just as well with large forms as she does with small ones. Instead of giving preference to just one subject, she seeks to bring disparate elements together, unifying them through a common theme.
During the spring of 2020 and living under the weight of a COVID lockdown, Veronica drew together all her experiences working with jewellery for a quarantine art project. It was based on the notion that all the world’s jewellery is locked deep inside buildings, much like their owners. As we all know, nothing in this world is fixed. Today, we find ourselves walking freely once again almost as we did before the pandemic. And with us goes our jewellery! Veronica – a deeply creative person – found inspiration in the simple pleasure of being among other people again for the second part of her project. This time the title is apt: “Jewels for a Walk!”
