The Paris 2024 Olympic stage has been nothing short of spectacular, adorned with diamonds, gold, and gemstones that shine brighter than the Eiffel Tower at night. Jewellery, one of the few ways athletes can express themselves during competition, has been a way to keep sentimental memories, lucky charms, or religious crests close to their hearts. Whether on the track or walking down the red carpet, these star-studded athletes, actresses, models, and singers have gone for gold.

The Paris 2024 Olympics turned into an unexpected display of jewellery, almost as captivating as the competitions themselves. From Simone Biles’ diamond-encrusted GOAT pendant to Coco Gauff’s symbolic silver star necklace, these athletes made bold statements beyond their athletic achievements. The red carpet followed suit, with Serena Williams donning a mysterious diamond tennis necklace and Daniel Craig teasing a new OMEGA watch in true James Bond fashion. Let’s dive in…

For the Action

Simone Biles continues to add to her gold collection in Paris, both in medals and in jewellery. She sported a white gold necklace with an encrusted GOAT pendant, set with 546 diamonds that was especially created by Janet Heller Fine Jewellery. As always, Biles shines as brightly off the mat as she does on it, proving that you can never have too much gold!

Sprinter Noah Lyles not only dashed his way to 100m gold but did so with style. He sported an OMEGA Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon ‘Apollo 8’ wristwatch and a dazzling mariner link choker, designed by Prakash Sadhwani, adorned with yellow, black, and white diamonds. The necklace was strategically worn as a choker to prevent any movement while he ran. And speaking of runners, British middle-distance star Keely Hodgkinson didn’t just chase gold in Paris; she carried a piece of her journey with her. She wore a silver pendant engraved with ‘Tokyo 2020’, keeping her memories from the previous Olympics close to her heart. To complement the necklace, she wore an OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra-Light on her right wrist.

Tennis prodigy Coco Gauff wore a silver pendant necklace to symbolise her meteoric rise and success on the Olympic courts. With each swing of her racket, she’s shown the world that she’s a star. Now a Grand Slam Champion, Gauff adds another star to the American flag, perfectly captured in the form of her silver pendant necklace. The brand behind this mysterious piece remains unknown to us. Hong Kong’s fencing star Cheung Ka Long proved that being an athlete doesn’t mean compromising on style. As he skillfully manoeuvred around the piste, Long wore a Van Cleef & Arpels 18k yellow gold and onyx bracelet, perfectly paired with a Cartier Love bracelet in 18k yellow gold.

Marta Kostyuk is known for her rising success on the court, recently making history as the first Ukrainian to reach the singles quarterfinals at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Kostyuk wore two 18k white gold mother-of-pearl Alhambra bracelets from Van Cleef & Arpels, a brand that has surprisingly become a go-to choice among athletes at the Games.

For the Red Carpet

Celebrities and athletes alike brought their A-game to the Olympics this year. From shimmering diamonds to custom couture, the prelude events were as much about who wore what as they were about the celebration of global athletic achievements. As the stars stepped onto the carpet, it became clear that the Olympics had set the stage for a true fashion spectacle.

German influencer and model Caro Daur glimmered at the 2024 Paris Olympics red carpet events, rocking Tiffany and Co.’s HardWear collection like it was made specifically for her. Decked out in diamond chain chokers, bracelets, and a stack of rings, Daur had everyone’s eyes glued to her.

Tennis legend Serena Williams took ‘dressed for the occasion’ to a whole new level, rocking a diamond tennis necklace at the Louis Vuitton-hosted prelude. With four Olympic gold medals, Williams showed everyone that she’s got game on and off the court. As for who designed her necklace? That’s still a mystery, but it’s safe to say they deserve a gold medal, too!

American rapper Flavor Flav, never one to shy away from making a statement, turned heads by rocking a custom Team USA water polo cap and, of course, a matching clock necklace decked out in blue and red Swarovski crystals. His eccentric choice caught everyone’s attention – he sure knows how to make time for fashion!

To complement her black mini dress with a vibrant blue flower detail at the hip, American actress Elizabeth Banks opted for diamond hoop earrings and a matching bracelet from Grown Brilliance Jewellers. She attended the Louis Vuitton prelude to the Olympics alongside stars like Snoop Dogg and Willie Geist, making sure her look was as star-studded as her company.

Daniel Craig, OMEGA’s global brand ambassador, made an appearance at the Olympics, but he wasn’t just there to spectate. Craig took in the show jumping events at the Château de Versailles and checked out the Skateboarding competitions at La Concorde. Naturally, he also swung by OMEGA House and in true James Bond style, he teased a new OMEGA watch, with details to be released later this year. Because, of course, Craig never misses an opportunity to keep us guessing.
